Garnet’s eyes fly back open at those words, surprise evident in her features. It’s not that she isn’t aware that Pearl has feelings for her, of course, but it’s the plainest it’s been stated since the day they’d confessed there were any feelings at all. Sometimes it’s still hard for her to understand that Pearl likes, really likes her. She feels like maybe it could be even… more than that. Hopes. The thought makes her ridiculously giddy.

Her expression softens considerably, however, as she registers the horror on Pearl’s face. “Hey,” she says quietly, holding eye contact steadily, “I’m really glad too. It’s… It’s a very nice thing to hear.”
