The unexpected gesture coupled with the praise gets a sort of half-giggle, half-squeal out of Pearl, the resulting noise sounding like a high-pitched 'bwee'. Her eyes grow wide as soon as she hears it, and she claps both hands over her mouth, the skin behind them burning pink.

If she didn't have good reason to be embarrassed before, well, that takes care of that.
